St. Mark Church Music Ministry
St. Mark Children’s Choir: All St. Mark children grades 5th through 8th are invited to sing in our Children’s Choir. This is for kids both from our St. Mark School and all area schools. We would love to see this choir grow to 20 kids. The Children’s Choir sings everything from “Panis Angelicus” and “Ave Maria” to more contemporary songs like “God of Wonders.” Rehearsals are Mondays from 4:00 to 5:00pm.
St. Mark Youth Choir: This choir is for all high school age singers and musicians. The youth are encouraged to suggest the music, and the high school musicians have an opportunity to share their talent. High School kids are so busy, but please give a couple of hours per month to this music ministry.
St. Mark Adult Choir: This choir is the one of the largest adult choirs in the city of Indianapolis. All adults are invited to join this group in song and prayer; we would love to see more young adults. If you always wondered about singing in the choir, come give us a try. You will have the opportunity to sing awesome music and to be part of a group of wonderful friends. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:30pm. All are Welcome!
Funeral Choir: The St. Mark Funeral Choir is a true blessing to our parish. This is a group of volunteers that gather for St. Mark funerals. The funeral choir leads the congregation in voice and song to enhance the celebration of the life of one of our faithful. Whether a small or large funeral, the funeral choir adds so much love and caring to the Mass. Thank you so much to the current members of this choir for all you do and give so lovingly.
St. Mark’s Men’s Choir: Our Church has many traditions that shape our liturgies and faith formation. One strong tradition at St. Mark Church is men’s choir, especially for the Good Friday afternoon service. All men (18 and older) are invited to be part of this choir and to help continue the men’s choir tradition at St. Mark.
